Dr. Person was born and raised in Hollywood, Florida, the daughter of a small animal veterinarian. Having worked for her father for as long as she could remember, it was only natural to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Dr. Person attended the University of Florida where she obtained her veterinary degree in 1990. She worked in Atlanta for a few years and then worked with her father for another 10 years. Dr. Person has been married to her husband, Leonard, for 31 years and they have 5 kids
