At ZippiVet we know worms need to go! Because you can’t solve a problem you don’t know you have, we are now providing advanced testing for intestinal parasites. Regardless of the test performed, there can be limitations on accurately identifying infections with some parasites. Detection of hookworm, roundworm, and whipworm can be difficult with the current widely used tests. We now offer Fecal Antigen Testing as an additional tool for detecting these common parasites.

Fecal Antigen Testing searches for hookworm, roundworm, and whipworm antigens in the stool. Worm eggs can be difficult to find. This test is looking for antigens, which show an immune response to the adult worms that might be lurking in your pet’s intestine thereby leading to early detection of infection. Early detection will also reduce the frequency of environmental contamination with potentially infectious eggs. As recommended by the Companion Animal Parasite Council (CAPC), fecal tests for antigen should be combined with microscopic examination for eggs to provide the widest detection of intestinal parasites in dogs and cats.

We are offering this advanced antigen intestinal parasite test including Giardia and a microscopic fecal exam for
